Here are a few thoughts that some of our guests have shared with us:
What a wonderful experience. The Lodge was great...clean rooms, tv and wifi, beautiful section of river, great fishing, very friendly and accommodative staff and owners--all at a bargain price! What's not to like?! I will definitely be back!

The prime location of Indian Creek Lodge is noteworthy, but the warm welcome my Dad and I received from John and his crew during our annual steelhead pilgrimage was exceptional. Nice to enjoy the recent updates to the housekeeping rooms. Please keep us pencilled in for November every year.

Enjoyed the \"Rafting\" Package very much!! Rafting, nights lodging, and dinner included. Everthing was most enjoyable & exactly the break we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone - lodge is clean, comfortable &\"quiet"!!!

Great fishing lodge. Clean rooms, all freshly remodeled. Owner and all of staff went out of their way to make sure my wife and I were comfortable--it's hard to find this kind of service anymore. There's great fishing right in back of lodge. We certainly will be returning soon! Great rates too!

I was transfered to Weaverville on very short notice for a new job. While looking for a new home, I stayed at the Indian Creek Lodge. For nearly three weeks they were able to provide the perfect solution. They provided an exceptional stay with a room that came with a great little kitchenette and beautiful views. Everything was clean and comfortable in my little home away from home. Short or long stay the Indian Creek Lodge is the perfect solution for anybody traveling in Trinity County.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Lodge, which is both clean and centrally located for fishing the Trinity. The staff was friendly and attentive to every need. The dining room was perfect for our GWWF/Mayflies social event. I will certainly recommend Indian Creek Lodge to my fishing friends--it's beautiful there.

The rooms at Indian Creek lodge are very comfortable, clean and spacious. The kitchen units make it easy to have a nice meal, go to bed, and be ready to fish in the morning. John definitely will go the extra mile for his guests.

We were traveling back from Arcata and decided to stop at the last minute... and so glad that we did! Everyone was so nice and the room was wonderful!! Would definitely stay again....

My wife and I stayed at the Indian Creek Lodge not knowing what we would encounter. What we found was a beautifully rustic touch in a setting that they work very hard to keep as naturally original as possible. The atmosphere is complemented by the hosts who literally put the capital C on Customer Service. One has to have the mindset of getting away in a rustic setting to really enjoy the stay. If you want to be lavished with a 3 story building and 5 star watery coffee, spend your Franklins at a major chain.

My friend and I stayed here September 8 & 9 to fish. The Indian Creek Lodge has about a 1/4 mile frontage on the Trinity River, one of the best in California for salmon, steelhead and trout fishing. Located on Highway 299W near Weaverville, this section of California allows you to experience what our state was like before settlers arrived. Tinity County has only 13k population and covers over 3,000 square miles (mostly forest and pristine wilderness).
I can understand the positive reviews for weddings here, the large meadow between the lodge and river is picture perfect. We booked the two day fishing special package. This included two days with an expert guide, Todd LeBoeuf--- on his drift boat, $100 credit at La Grange Cafe in Weaverville and two nights lodging. We caught our limit of salmon both days. Todd knows every ripple and hole in the river and how they play out with different water levels. The LaGrange Cafe is in a beautifully restored gold rush building. They have a wine list that rivals the top San Francisco restaurants, at one half the price.
Even if we didn't catch a fish, the trip would have been worth it. This is one of the prettiest stretches of river in the west. I could've lounged on the lodge's river bank with a book and enjoyed it as much. The owners, John and Elena Letton, created a perfect way to vacation on the river. Our room was equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The beds had new, firm mattresses. We slept well.
We will be coming back in November or December for steelhead season. You won't find a better spot in the Weaverville area. I recommend it for fishing, romance, hiking base or just relaxing.

Indian Creek Lodge sits at the heart of some of the best salmon and steelhead runs and pools on the Upper Trinity River, with many of the guide trips in this area either starting or ending at Indian Creek. The Lodge also has one of the best brown trout holes on the river where 10 pound browns are caught every year. Indian Creek is clean and well run, and fishermen can pick up local information from any of the many guides who frequent the Lodge. For my clients, this is the place to stay.

I returned to the Weaverville/Trinity area after several decades, hoping to reconnect with memories of family vacations at a small guest ranch in the area; it was in a beautiful setting, and run by a couple whose warm hospitality made us feel like friends more than paying customers. Staying at Indian Creek Lodge was a perfect place to stay for making new happy memories of the area. It's a beautifully maintained property, and the staff conveyed a genuine sense of caring about the guests' experience (including excellent email communication before and after my stay). Alas, words can't express the value of a distinct feature of this lodging: being able to walk across an expansive lawn to sit at the edge of the iconic Trinity River. Old-growth forest in every direction, only the sound of the rippling water. I'll be dreaming of a return.

I loved my stay at the Lodge. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was lovely to walk by the river and to enjoy the pristine beauty of northern CA. I hope to return soon!

I really enjoyed my stay at Indian Creek Lodge. It is clean, very comfortable and relaxing, and priced right. It is very convenient to some of the best steelhead and salmon fishing in the Northwest. I really couldn't ask for more and I am looking forward to my next trip.
