Here are a few thoughts that some of our guests have shared with us:

My wife and I spent the weekend at Indian Creek on a special package in combinations with two days of guided fishing with Trinity River Drifters. We had a wonderful experience....the lodge setting is fantastic, the rooms clean and roomy, and all the lodge staff were extremely welcoming and friendly....We will most certainly return....Thanks for a nice stay....Ron and Michelle Davidson

Every once in awhile a person stumbles across a gem in the rough. Indian Creek Lodge is that find. For a place to stay while fishing or just relaxing Indian Creek Lodge offers a spotless clean facility with a Five Star staff. I highly recommend Indian Creek Lodge as not only a place to rest a weary head but also as a place that will make you feel truly welcomed. Wes Watkins, Arcata, CA July 2011

We held a family reunion over the memorial day weekend 2012, It included 9 separage famiiy households from California, Oregon and Arizona. The lodge had nice accomodations, great hospitality and ammenities to meet our special needs. We felt the rates were reasonable and the scenery and atmosphere unbeatable. We highly recommend Indian Creek Lodge, Robert Welsh, Bend, Oregon June 2012

We had a very pleasant stay at the Lodge, which is both clean and centrally located for fishing the Trinity. The staff was friendly and attentive to every need. The dining room was perfect for our GWWF/Mayflies social event. I will certainly recommend Indian Creek Lodge to my fishing friends--it's beautiful there.

Thank you John & Elena for a wonderful experience during our stay at your lodge. You were so very accomadating to our group with allowing us to use the rec room area for our gathering. The rooms were so nicely appointed. We definately recommend staying at ICL espcially room #11. Thanks again. Linda & Mike

I was brought to the area for my first fishing trip when I was 14 (1980). The family friends that brought me have been coming to Trinity for 50 years or so. I have made over 2 dozen trips since then, and most of the time, I stay at the Lodge. I love the area, so many great memories, so much fun. Me and the Salmon King (he had several pictures in the photo album in the office) will be back soon. Count on it.

We come up every April for my sisters birthday and have stayed at a number of places near Weaverville, and are happy that we have found Indian Creek Lodge. We stayed in the huge, and very comfortable 2-bedroom apt. And Kurt, the manager, was quite friendly, let us borrow a DVD player and even his DVDs. We will definitely try to stay there on future visits.

Thank you for a very clean room, the kitchen and bathroom were great. The Lodge setting is fantastic with fishing water out the backdoor. The entire staff was very helpful and I can see this place as one of my fishing homes. Patrick Stauter January 2011

We spent almost four months at Indian Creek Lodge, while working in the area during the summer of 2009, and have nothing but good things to say about how we were treated. The surroundings were beautiful, the accommodations were great, the hospitality was exceptional, and the fishing was an added bonus. John and Elena treated us like family. The large brown trout and steelhead were a blast. I highly recommend staying with these good people whether for work or play or both!

Just got back from a two-night stay. What a gem of a place. I was in the area for fishing, so location was our main criteria. Couldn't have been more pleased. Owners are very nice people. Staff all seemed happy. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The setting on the Trinity River is a bonus. You can actually fish from their property or just lounge by the river. Lots of amenities: bottled water, WiFi, refrigerator, microwave.

My friend and I stayed here September 8 & 9 to fish. The Indian Creek Lodge has about a 1/4 mile frontage on the Trinity River, one of the best in California for salmon, steelhead and trout fishing. Located on Highway 299W near Weaverville, this section of California allows you to experience what our state was like before settlers arrived. Tinity County has only 13k population and covers over 3,000 square miles (mostly forest and pristine wilderness). I can understand the positive reviews for weddings here, the large meadow between the lodge and river is picture perfect. We booked the two day fishing special package. This included two days with an expert guide, Todd LeBoeuf--- on his drift boat, $100 credit at La Grange Cafe in Weaverville and two nights lodging. We caught our limit of salmon both days. Todd knows every ripple and hole in the river and how they play out with different water levels. The LaGrange Cafe is in a beautifully restored gold rush building. They have a wine list that rivals the top San Francisco restaurants, at one half the price. Even if we didn't catch a fish, the trip would have been worth it. This is one of the prettiest stretches of river in the west. I could've lounged on the lodge's river bank with a book and enjoyed it as much. The owners, John and Elena Letton, created a perfect way to vacation on the river. Our room was equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The beds had new, firm mattresses. We slept well. We will be coming back in November or December for steelhead season. You won't find a better spot in the Weaverville area. I recommend it for fishing, romance, hiking base or just relaxing.

The prime location of Indian Creek Lodge is noteworthy, but the warm welcome my Dad and I received from John and his crew during our annual steelhead pilgrimage was exceptional. Nice to enjoy the recent updates to the housekeeping rooms. Please keep us pencilled in for November every year.

My wife and I stayed at the Indian Creek Lodge not knowing what we would encounter. What we found was a beautifully rustic touch in a setting that they work very hard to keep as naturally original as possible. The atmosphere is complemented by the hosts who literally put the capital C on Customer Service. One has to have the mindset of getting away in a rustic setting to really enjoy the stay. If you want to be lavished with a 3 story building and 5 star watery coffee, spend your Franklins at a major chain.
