While many of our guests tend to stay a while, overnight guests are more than welcome. We provide the perfect stop over to rest, and take in the beauty of the area. Park directly in front of your unit, unload your toothbrush, and take a relaxing stroll along the river.
Here are comments from some of our overnight guests who were just traveling through:
This is a beautiful small lodge with a very friendly staff. Clean quiet rooms with WI-FI. They will grind you fresh locally roasted coffee that you can brew right in your room every morning. There is a pool, fire pit and bbq available for use. The river is only a few hundred yards away and is easily accessible. They also have the best restaurant in Trinity county. I have stayed here numerous times and would definitely recommend staying here.
Wonderful place. Located right near the Trinity River with clean, nice rooms, outdoor BBQs and some nice outdoor lounge areas. The onsite restaurant has surprisingly good food and a proper chef but they're only open for dinner. Not much else nearby for food unfortunately. Staff is wonderful as well. I would stay here just for a weekend even without the fishing!
The room is clean and comfortable, with several nice touches. They put a 4 port USB charger on the nightstand and there is a ceiling fan in the room.
The restaurant is worth a visit of its own, our server was Kayla and I cannot rave enough about her. The food was superb. I had a Rib Eye that was cut with a fork. My better half had the chicken and was closing her eyes to better savor the flavors. I recommend that you eat here and definitely need to ask for Kayla to be your server.
This was the best of the hotels we stayed in on a 5 day trip to Ashland, down the CA coast and across the mountains. The hotel is nestled between two large hills with a river running through the property. An idyllic spot except for the highway close by. The restaurant in and of itself is worth the trip. Had an excellent elk osso bucco.
Location: Near the town of Weaverville, which has a nice quaint old town with a lot of shops and restaurants.
We stopped to stay at Indian Creek Lodge on the way home from a road trip, and we are so glad we did! It was so nice to come into a warm lobby with friendly staff and hot apple cider (with a kick) after a long drive. The rooms were very clean and so charming. It didn't feel like a stock hotel room at all. The hotel grounds are well taken care of and beautiful, right on the river. The restaurant menu looked delicious, even though we didn't eat there. If we ever come back through this area we will definitely stay here again!
I usually stay in Weaverville when I travel in the area, but decided to stay at the Indian Creek Lodge (8 miles from Weaverville) because it has river access for fly fishing. It is a great place to stay. The rooms are far more fancy than those found in Weaverville, and my room was cheaper. The restaurant on the property was excellent and moderately priced. I noticed that residents of the area came to eat there. That always is a good sign. You pick the room you want on the hotel website, and the photos they provide are accurate. The Indian Creek Lodge was a pleasant surprise, and I have recommended it to the members of my San Francisco casting and angling club.
We planned an overnight to celebrate my birthday, but just couldn't tear ourselves away from this enchanting spot. The hosts and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming.
The accommodations were spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the Cafe the 1st night. Our second evening we sat by the river and walked back to the lodge to find the barbecue lit and ready for our steak. A perfect getaway. Can't wait to return.
Lovely quiet clean lodge right on the beautiful Trinity River. I had driven by this Lodge for many years on our way up to a Children's camp near Hayfork. We were greeted by warm welcoming staff who helped make our one day stay relaxing and enjoyable.
We really enjoyed a long July 4th weekend by the river with some friends. The location is very picturesque by the river with a long lawn, and a great pool from which to escape the sun. We were close to Weaverville to shop and enjoy the parade, and had a great day out to Lewiston Lake. Wine and cheese stop at the Winery highly recommended also. Our room was perfect, the shared spaces upstairs and on the lawn all make for a stress-free stay, capped off by the on-site restaurant for dinner, and then the friendly staff. Already made reservations for next year!
Oh, must mention the Osprey chasing the Eagle over the river. Amazing!
The lodge was very clean, the front desk people were beyond helpful and nice. We stayed in a two bedroom facing the river and it was so beautiful. The kitchenette was fully stocked and Immaculate. When we checked in it was suggested we eat dinner at the Cafe on the property. I have no idea why they call this a Cafe because it was a beautiful gourmet dinner and very unexpected in this small town . Do yourself a favor and stop here, eat dinner at the Cafe, meet the very helpful people who run the lodge and you will not be sorry.
Very pleasantly surprised. Great welcome and check in. Lovely room, everything you need and a very good restaurant. If you are looking for a place near Weaverville, CA look no further. Not the most populated area but one of the most beautiful.
The Best! Very nice, clean, clean, clean, great reception, fabulous rates, more than fair. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my door. I will return!
We booked our room because the driving distance to Redwood was to far. But what a suprise. The room was really clean, big and cosy. A warm welcome with a personal card. And a magnificent view in the backyard on Trinity River.
This is one of the better establishments to stay it in Weaverville/Douglas CIty area! It's clean and the staff are really friendly!
Never fails to please me when a hotel actually keeps their rooms Clean. Rooms are not fancy, fishing folk don’t need frills, but rates are reasonable, it’s quiet at night, the wifi works and yes! The Cafe has good Italian food on the menu for dinner! I’ll stay again on my way by. Thank you!
After driving 300 miles through Lassen, Burney, Redding this was the final stop to see Weaverville. Nice setting on the river. We sat in back on lawn chairs with our wine and watched the geese. So peacefull. Quiet, seems all retire by 8:00pm. Very comfy room. Micro, fridg, coffee pot. Restaurant was closed, but expected that and had leftovers for dinner, brought breakfast bread, cheese, etc. Bring your own food/drinks; if restaurant is closed nearest store is 8 miles. Couple that runs this, Joel and Mary really know what they are doing. This hotel is 250 miles from me but I would go back just for the lovely experience.
Awesome host and beautiful setting. Accommodations were updated and comfortable. The host offered us a kitchenette with double beds for the same price as a kitchenette with a single bed. We'll definitely be back!
The rooms were very clean and the owners, managers and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed here based on good reviews and poor reviews of other lodging in nearby Weaverville. The internet connectivity was spotty but you’re not likely here for internet service when the Trinity River is out back.
Our stay was was excellent….You & your staff were very friendly & helpful. My girlfriend and I talked about how nice your place was on the way home. It was a pleasant stay & we will definitely stay at your place if we are in your area again. Thanks’ again.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. We were very impressed with “the penthouse”. I had the feeling that we were staying at someone’s house and not a motel room. You were very nice and helpful when needed. We will definitely be back.
We had a fabulous stay! We particularly enjoyed the great outdoors of the property, and were thrilled with all the space we had in the second bedroom. The entire unit was very clean, well-equipped, and homey.

We had a great time. The professional greetings and attitude displayed made us feel at home and part of the growing family of friends of Indian Creek Lodge. The fishing was great, the rooms are outstanding. Well kept and homey—a job well done. We will be back in a month or two for steelhead fishing.

Our stay at Indian Creek Lodge over the 4th of July was excellent. The rooms were immaculate and everyone was very nice.

We have nothing but praise for your accommodations. Thanks for offering a comfortable, clean, cozy room after a long day of driving. If we pass through again, we will certainly stay at the Indian Creek Lodge, and will recommend it to others who might be traveling your way.

I had a very nice time at Indian Creek Lodge. It was precisely what I was looking for. Lovely location, quiet, and very reasonably priced. Thanks again!

Our weekend at Indian Creek Lodge was fabulous! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, the personal service, and the clean and comfortable accommodations! We even had a blast playing ping-pong upstairs–it was like being at summer camp!!
We’d definitely repeat the stay should we find ourselves up in Weaverville again!

Even though the weather was a bit cool for May, the weekend was fabulous. Your customer service combined with the cozy rooms made for a very relaxing and beautiful visit. I would recommend your Lodge whole heartily…
My experience was very comfortable and pleasant and I have raved to my husband and friends about the wonderful Indian Creek Lodge. We hope to visit again sometime in the near future. I appreciate your extra effort on my behalf with respect to items I left behind.

Every once in awhile a person stumbles across a gem in the rough. Indian Creek Lodge is that find. For a place to stay while fishing or just relaxing Indian Creek Lodge offers a spotless clean facility with a Five Star staff. I highly recommend Indian Creek Lodge as not only a place to rest a weary head but also as a place that will make you feel truly welcomed.
