The Trinity River, including its tributaries and lakes, is a fishing paradise and it literally has something for every angler. You can fish for Salmon, Steelhead, and Rainbow and Brook Trout between the confluence of the Trinity and Klamath River at Weitchpec, all the way to Steiner Flat downstream from Douglas City. Between Steiner Flat and Lewiston Dam add great brown Trout fishing to the list, and enjoy fly fishing only area. Lake anglers have a choice of a cold water Trout fishery at Lewiston Lake or drive a short distance north to Trinity Lake for warmer water Bass action.
