Dec 29 - Trinity River Fishing Report

December 29 - 8:46 am. We received rain and snow mix last night at the lodge. River at the lodge is currently near 500 cfs and decent visibility. Yesterday the river was dropping and It appears to be levelings off and we are expecting it to begin rising sometime this afternoon. Should be decent this morning. An angler reported landing 4 adults yesterday near the lodge. Should fish well again this morning until we start seeing it ramp up.

December 29, 12:38 pm. The river is still holding (638 cfs ) and color looks pretty good. Weather is on and off raining but we’re still expecting more. The pass road is clear but the snow level is holding a little below 3000 ft.

December 29, 4 pm. River is still holding. If we get a freeze this evening above us, we could be looking at another great day above and below the lodge. Guided anglers today did really well today picking up some real beauties and fresh fish. We had reports of sea lice in a gill plate and chromers. This is great signs!

Streamflows at Douglas City at 3 pm below. Actually going down!
